Tuition Assistance Policy

1. Purpose

Global Business Serv 4u Inc (“GBS4U Inc”) is committed to supporting the professional development and continuing education of its employees. This Tuition Assistance Policy provides financial support for employees pursuing educational opportunities that enhance their skills and align with the company’s goals.

2. Eligibility

To qualify for tuition assistance:

– The employee must be a full-time employee of GBS4U Inc.

– The employee must have completed two (2) continuous years of service.

–  The updated Tuition Assistance Policy now includes the eligibility condition for employees earning less than $40,000 annually.

3. Covered Expenses

Eligible employees may receive reimbursement for:

– Tuition

– Mandatory course fees

– Required textbooks

4. Annual Limit

GBS4U Inc will reimburse up to $5,250 per calendar year, per employee, in accordance with IRS guidelines for tax-free educational assistance.

Reimbursements above $5,250 will be treated as taxable income unless otherwise exempt.

5. Reimbursement Conditions

To receive reimbursement:

  1. The course must be pre-approved by HR and the employee’s manager.
  2. The employee must submit:

   – Course syllabus or description

   – Proof of enrollment

   – Payment receipts

   – Final grades (minimum grade: “C” or equivalent for undergrad; “B” for grad)

  1. Courses must be completed while the employee is actively employed.
  2. Reimbursement is contingent on successful course completion.

6. Repayment Obligation

Employees who voluntarily leave GBS4U Inc within 12 months of receiving tuition assistance must repay the full amount of the assistance received during that period.

7. Procedure

– Employee submits Tuition Assistance Request Form.

– HR and the direct supervisor review for approval.

– Upon course completion, employee submits documentation.

– Reimbursement is processed through payroll within one pay cycle.

8. Administration

This policy is administered by the HR Department and subject to change at the discretion of GBS4U Inc management. Changes will be communicated in advance.
